A High Rise Jewel Box
A pied-à-terre in the sky with an exciting mix of residential design and high rise building systems. How fun is that?
Unique challenges lead us to create unique solutions. Here for instance, we hid return air systems behind doors with stainless steel recessed handles. A request of a “mirrored wall” is envisioned to be a floating wall of “mirrored planes”.
Fire resistance requirements are paramount in this home. This is where our commercial building/interiors experience is invaluable.
Steel studs are covered in type x gypsum board then we used fire resistant wood veneer “wall paper” primarily used in luxury office spaces.
With only 1,200 square feet this project is all about making the most of the space; it’s a great example of quality over quantity. Sleek design and clever detailing was the strategy used to create a “less is more” design statement.
