APS has introduced a new “Horizontal Heated Separator” package (HHS) that offers a unique approach to well site separation. The units are versatile and able to replace various types of conventional well site equipment such as separators, line heaters, vertical heater treaters, enclosed gas production units, etc. The unit can be used in the place of combinations of conventional units (examples: replace a line heater, a separator, and a vertical treater, or replace a separator and a heater treater, or replace a line heater and a separator, or replace an enclosed gas production unit). The reduced hook up cost of labor and fittings to install an HHS unit in place of multiple other conventional units can be substantial. The units are available in ASME Code and Non-Code, come in various sizes to accommodate differing flow rates, and can operate at pressures ranging from 15 to 500 psig.
The HHS units have adjustable water legs and require no gas operated valves on the oil and water outlets. The design of the units prevents freezing during winter months. The units are very low profile and satisfy many of the height restrictions in urban sensitive areas. For more information, please contact david.howard@alliedproduction.com.
